The award recognizes Colebrook Village as the 2026 Business of the Year for its outstanding philanthropic support of AHM Youth and Family Services. We are deeply honored to receive this recognition and remain committed to supporting AHM's mission of strengthening youth, families, and the community.

A open letter to the Colebrook team.

From Rene, whose 93 year old mother has been living at Colebrook Village since September 2024.

I can’t begin to tell you how much we appreciate this facility and everyone in it from staff to residents. Everyone at Colebrook has such a positive impact, but I would be remiss if I did not mention some of them specifically.

Everyday I come to Colebrook the first thing I am greeted with is a smile from Paul along with the others who work the front desk. Always there to help where they can. Big thanks to Christine, Susan and Maggie.

Scot and his staff are always ready to help. Scot even helped us physically move mom into her new apartment. Shout out to Tammy and Kathy for all their help and guidance.

Maryla and her staff of nurses and CAN’s have given my mom so much more than just assistance. They have provided outstanding care and compassion and shown her much love and dignity.

Katie and her staff are always creating fresh activities, trips and events which give the residents a lot of choices for participation. They also do a great job decorating for all the varies events and holidays.

I would like to give a special mention to Herman who has taken us to many medical appointments. Herman is not just a driver but he also shares his light by beautifying the grounds with flowers.

Todd and his staff see to my mom’s maintenance needs and the impeccable cleaning of her apartment, not to mention the entire facility.

Christine and all the servers in the dining area are always so pleasant to interact with. They are a special group of individuals.

Trish does an amazing job bringing out the resident’s inner beauty and making them feel really good about themselves.

To all the residents who have shown my mom love despite her communication challenges. The compassion and friendship you have shown her truly warms my heart.

Over the past 10 months, I have come to realize that for the people who work here, this is not just merely a job but a passion. My mom often says GOD IS GOOD! Everyone at Colebrook is proof of that.

Monthly Family Support Group

Our Parkinson's Support Group is a safe place for family caregivers to share experiences and learn from other families also living with Parkinson's Disease.

Meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 10:30am

Holiday Occasions

Here at Colebrook Village we plan a lot of activities around the holidays for our residents.

The Local Cub Scout Wolf Den, made up of second graders, visited our residents and shared cards and pictures they made for Thanksgiving.

Health & Wellness

Our Exercise Physiologist, Mike held a presentation for our residents on the importance of Emotional Wellness and Exercise. The presentation was so well-received that the residents asked for more presentations like it in the future! Do you know the importance yourself?

Such a beautiful ride along the CT River on our Slipaway Riverboat Cruise! We enjoyed our picnic lunch as we took in the scenery! This trip booked up fast, so we scheduled a second one! Here's hoping the cruise on August 12th be just as wonderful! Fingers crossed!
